Mt. Prospect Child Care Center Inc. has been family owned and operated for over 70 years. The program has grown to encompass a variety of children's programs, including preschool, drop-in, and summer camp.

Toddlers & 2s (~15 months to 2 years)

The Toddlers & 2s program provides a nurturing, play-based environment where young children explore through hands-on activities like painting, building, music, and storytelling. It focuses on developing language, early social skills, fine motor coordination, and self-help abilities such as dressing and beginning toilet training. Children are guided toward independence while meeting key developmental milestones through structured routines and engaging play.

Preschool 3s/4s

The 3s/4s program builds early academic and social-emotional skills through art, storytelling, science, and imaginative play. Children begin using full sentences, engaging in conversations, and developing problem-solving abilities. The environment fosters independence, cooperation, and readiness for structured learning.

Pre-K 4s/5s

Designed to prepare children for kindergarten, this program emphasizes early literacy, number skills, independence, and emotional regulation. Children explore reading, writing, science, and math concepts through hands-on, engaging lessons. Social skills, self-care, and confidence are nurtured to ensure school readiness.

When searching for daycares, both my husband and sister, who is an elementary school teacher, visited multiple centers with me to see what would be the best fit. We all felt immediately at ease when we entered Mount Prospect Child Care Center. From the first visit, the entire staff has been welcoming, friendly and kind to both of my children. It's clear that they love what they do and care about the happiness and wellbeing of all the kids in their program.

We have been attending Mount Prospect Child Care Center for the past 2 years and plan to keep all our kids enrolled until they start Kindergarten. Every lunch is freshly cooked and the kids are even allowed to help participate in the preparation and serving of the meals. Each week has a theme where the kids learn about a different topic. Books and crafts are creatively planned around the theme of the week. Most importantly, both of my kids love going to Mount Prospect Child Care Center. We knew that once we moved into our permanent home in Mount Prospect, that MPCCC was where we wanted our son to be. We drove about 30 minutes each way for MONTHS to make sure that he had the opportunity to attend even as we waited month after month with construction delays. The center has an atmosphere of kindness and warmth and that extends to the kids as well.  Our son has not once said he didn't want to go to daycare in the morning, and often needs to "just finish up" whatever he is working on when we come to pick him up. Mount Prospect Child Care is a great daycare. I have two daughters there currently and I can say that I'm very pleased with the service they provide. I know my daughters are safe, loved and enriched. The teachers are really wonderful! My daughters love going each day and absolutely love their teachers.

I have a kindergartener who spends half her day at MPCC and half at Westbrook. The daycare gets her on the bus, and provides enrichment for when she's not attending grade school. The director, Mr. Michael, loves his work and my kids adore him too. We looked at many options for daycare before deciding on MPCC and I'd highly recommend this daycare.
